JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ reckons spending a penny is his way to earning millions by ending Floyd Mayweather's reign as the unbeaten best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
Marquez drinks his own urine after each training session believing the bizarre drink gives him strength for fighting.
He takes on Mayweather at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas on Saturday and is convinced drinking his own pee puts back vital vitamins and nutrients his body has tried to get rid of.
The Mexican tempted Mayweather out of retirement after he knocked out Ricky Hatton.
He said: "I drink my own urine because that's where a lot of proteins and vitamins are.
"It is part of your vitamin intake. Why not drink them again instead of wasting them.
"I think that this helps me. I have done it for the last five or six fights with good results."
Madcap Marquez, 36, also reckons he has the perfect chaser for his pint of pee — he eats 25 raw quails eggs straight after.
Mayweather — undefeated in 39 — insists he has the perfect answer for Marquez's bizarre diet and says:
"If he opens his mouth I'll give him some gorilla pee, some silverback pee. I am going to call him 'Pee-Pee Marquez' now.
"If you're in good shape, you're in good shape. You don't need to drink no pee.
"I'll tell him what I tell any fighter, 'Say what you want because I am gonna beat you anyway'.
"I have a big mouth and people want somebody to shut me up, until someone can shut me up I am the king."
